Mrs. Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu has had working experience in various organizations over the years including Leventis Stores, Wizcount Computers Technology, BETCY Media, Oak Hotels Lagos, CETEP City University, amongst others. She was equally an actress in the defunct National Soap opera Fortunes/Mega Fortunes, where she featured as Gloria. She has undertaken several personal and corporate projects geared at women and youth development, empowerment, inspiration and positive change. She has written several books geared at women empowerment and gender sensitivity, as well as several for youth development.
She founded a dynamic non - governmental organization; Youth and Gender Network (YGN), to serve as a platform for inspiration, advocacy and development of womenfolk and youths in Nigeria. This NGO has organized several youth summits, seminars, workshops/skills acquisition training, literacy programmes and community support initiatives. As a girl-child and youth mentor, she has organized several girls and mentors,’ as well as teens and mentors’ programmes, geared at moulding teenagers to become progressive, responsible and God fearing individuals in the society. Mrs Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu is a mentor to several youths, including university undergraduates across Nigeria, who she is passionate about influencing to become responsible, patriotic and empowered human beings.
She is equally contributing to human capacity development and entrepreneurship by virtue of her membership of the faculty of the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies Nigeria (AES), where she lectures on leadership, and is part of the strategic team charting the course of economic emancipation of Nigeria. As an itinerant public speaker, she has delivered several speeches and lectures on entrepreneurship, leadership development, gender empowerment, religious tolerance, social consciousness, communication, youth development, millennium development goals, HIV/AIDS and abstinence, impacting the world, amongst others.
She facilitates at both corporate/secular/academic conferences, as well as religious / faith-based fora. She has inspired thousands of women, youths and adults through various public / corporate communication, administration, motivation, training and human resource development, project management, organizational development and training, executive coaching and leadership development.
As a professional communicator, she has been a member of several professional bodies including Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Association of Nigerian authors (ANA), Women Writers of Nigeria (WRITA), Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, amongst others. She writes weekly and quarterly columns in newspapers and magazines geared at inspiring youths, women and human development. As a writer, she has over four hundred published articles on diverse subject matters and an author of nine published books with several forthcoming titles. She has been published in several journals, anthologies and magazines including the Association of Nigerian Author’s anthology, WRITA/British council anthology, Leadership and Lifestyle Magazine, Academy For entrepreneurial Studies (AES) Digest, Encomium Weekly magazine, Thisday newspaper, Sun newspaper, amongst others.
She has received several awards including the Transparent Patriotism Award of the Leadership Trust Foundation, Outstanding Intellectual Award of the Nigerian Economic Students Association Lagos State University (2008), as well as the Outstanding Leadership Honours Awards of the Association of Theatre Arts Students, Lagos State University. She is also the recipient of the Association of Nigeria Authors award for children’s literature (2001) for her gender-sensitive book, The King’s Verdict, and was a nominee of the Pat Utomi Book Prize (2005) for her gender-sensitive drama, ‘Nwanyibuife’ (A woman is to be reckoned with). Some other awards she has received include: Outstanding Personality/ Guest Speaker award by Nimo Youth Forum (Dec.2006), Fellowship Award of Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies Nigeria, Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, DIAMOND Award for youth mentoring by VIVA L’AMOUR Lions Club Ikeja Lagos, (2009), The Future Stars Youth Network Award of honour (2009), Excellence Award by Association Of Theatre Arts Students LASU (2009), Positive Impact award by Pacesetters (2010) etc.
Mrs. Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu is a Patron, Association of Theatre Arts Students Lagos State University, a member, board of trustees, Centre for Inter-religious Relations in Africa, Member, board of trustees, LYDIA Christian Businesswomen Network, as well as a Golden Link (Goodwill Ambassador) of Mass Medical Mission/National Cancer Prevention Programme.
Anuli surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, on June 17th 1990 as an undergraduate of the University of Jos, under the ministration of Reverend Emmanuel Kanos. She became actively involved in the Church, Zoe Christian Centre, and served the ministry in various capacities.
In 1993, the young Christian woman Anuli relocated to Lagos with her family, and soon became a member of the Fountain of Life Church Ilupeju Lagos. She grew in faith and righteousness under the ministry of her spiritual mentor and pastor, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church Ilupeju Lagos, and Pastor (Mrs.) Bimbo Odukoya of blessed memory. She has served in various capacities at the Fountain of life Church, including the Choir, Drama Department, Welfare department, Greeters department, Married Women Fellowship Executive, and married Women Cell Group leader.
Mrs Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu has also been positively influenced by great mentors like Bishop (Mrs.) Love Sam-Amaga and Rev. (Mrs.) Funke Felix-Adejumo. The ministry of Pastor Tony Rapu; This Present House, has also added value to her life. Other ministers whose lives and ministry have truly inspired her include Dr. Mike Murdock, Joyce Meyer, John C. Maxwell, Pastors E.A. and Folu Adeboye, Dr. Mensah Otabil, Rev Sam Adeyemi, amogst others.
Rev. Anuli was ordained a reverend at the Parliament Church Jos, (formerly Zoe Christian Centre) on April 8th 2007, by her spiritual father, Rev. Emmanuel Kanos, under whose ministry she gave her life to Jesus Christ years back. Her husband Dr Ausbeth Ajagu gave her emotional and moral support for her ordination, and was with her for the programme in Jos Plateau state. Interestingly, he had sensed the call of God on her life and literally thrust her into her ministerial destiny.
She got married to Dr. Ausbeth Nnamdi Ajagu MFR on October 28th 1995, and they are blessed with three children. Rev (Mrs). Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu is a kind spirited Nigerian of Igbo extraction, who has sacrificed immensely for the reformation of her society and development of her nation Nigeria. She speaks Igbo, Yoruba and a bit of Hausa language, and believes that success in life should not be measured by quantum of material acquisition, but by the quality of service and value one contributes to humanity. Reverend Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu is the President of Divine Heritage Gospel Ministry (DHGM). This ministry is an inter-denominational, multi-media gospel outreach; and the formal platform under which she does the work of the ministry; rescuing souls from the clutch of Satan, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, reaching out to the bruised, broken hearted and poor, and inspiring positive change in her world. |
